Inspiring Change Every Day with Grace
Perception is Currency

I have no voice, yet I speak louder than the truth. I wear many faces, but none are mine. I change your mind without touching it. What am I?
Read to Find Out! …
It was never just about the fruit. That bite wasn’t only rebellion; it was a decision shaped by something far more dangerous. The serpent didn’t force Eve. He didn’t carry her hand to the tree. He simply shaped how she saw it.
That is the subtle but powerful war we all face: the war between truth and persuasion. Every day, choices come cloaked in language, emotion, desire, and half-truths. And just like Eve, we find ourselves staring at decisions that look “good for food,” “pleasing to the eyes,” and “desirable for wisdom”, but behind the shine is a lie.
If Eve had relied only on what God said, she would have seen clearly. But persuasion altered her perception. And today, the media has become our serpent. From social platforms to the products ads, we are constantly being sold more than things, its more like we’re being sold ways of seeing, and that’s why you buy into it.
Everyone’s trying to persuade us to feed on certain fruits. Some call it content, others call it trends, but it all boils down to this: What are you biting into and why?
You don’t have to believe a lie for it to shape you. You just have to listen long enough. That’s how persuasion works. It wears you down until your truth feels too small and your desires feel too loud.
That’s the same trick that made Eve question a command from the God who made her. And it’s still happening today. How many choices have we made because they were dressed in persuasive language, appealing logic, or emotional bait?
Think of the last time you were tempted. It likely wasn’t something ugly. It was something beautiful, exciting, or urgent. Temptation always shows up as a better version of what you want. And that’s where it gets complicated, because now your desire is wearing a disguise.
So what do you trust: your feelings or the truth? This is the same crisis we see in modern relationships, career moves, faith decisions, and even identity questions. Truth is often quiet but persuasion is loud. Which one gets your attention?
We were never meant to make decisions on sight alone. But culture trains us to choose by appearance. We’re told, “Follow your heart,” “Trust your gut,” “Go with the flow.” But what if your heart is hurt? What if your gut is manipulated? What if the flow is leading you off a cliff?
The truth doesn’t always trend, but I know it protects. The more we learn to discern and weigh our decisions by principle the less likely we are to bite into regret.
Not every attractive thing is authentic. Some choices look like fruit but taste like poison. And in this generation, perception is currency. Everyone’s branding something, even sin. That’s why spiritual clarity isn’t optional; it’s survival.
You need filters, not just for your photos, but for your thoughts. Because what you feed on becomes what forms you. And what forms you will eventually guide or hijack your destiny.
So, was Eve’s fall really about fruit? Or was it about losing sight of the truth because she entertained a more attractive version of it? That’s the same battle you face every day. Will you choose what’s true, or what’s persuasive?
