Inspiring Change Every Day with Grace
Happily Aligned
Have you ever done something you thought was right, only to feel empty afterwards? Let’s be real, life isn’t perfect. Even when you’re walking in purpose; the hurdles to climb and the holes you fall into could sometimes feel like chasing the wind, it is just tiring.
I’ve had moments where things didn’t go as planned. But instead of spiralling, I asked, What’s the lesson here? How does this fit into the bigger picture?
And here’s the thing: when you’re aligned with your purpose, even failures feel like stepping stones. You start seeing obstacles as opportunities to grow. Purpose shifts your perspective from ‘why is this happening’ to ‘how is this preparing me?’
For me, walking in purpose has been a journey of learning. I mean, what do I know about the future? I can plan, sure, but life has this way of throwing curveballs that only God can see coming.
After a personal experience that shook me to my core, I’ve realized that living with purpose; aligning my actions, choices, and paths with God’s will has rather brought me peace and fulfilment I couldn’t manufacture on my own.
Proverbs 3:6 says “…in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” That shift to seeking God’s will in everything kept me steady, and every initiative I’ve pursued in line with God’s will has left me full, not just happy, but deeply fulfilled.
It reminds me of what Rick Warren wrote in The Purpose Driven Life: “You were made by God and for God, and until you understand that, life will never make sense.”Thus, aligning your life with the One who made you and trusting His plans for you is one of the wisest decisions anyone could take.
When you’re aligned with your purpose, you enjoy so many benefits. Like decision-making gets simpler. It’s like having a filter: if something doesn’t fit the purpose, it’s easier to let go.
There’s also a certain peace that comes with aligning with God’s purpose for you. It’s the kind of peace that Philippians 4:7 describes: “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
For me, this peace shows up when I stop striving and start trusting. It’s in those moments when I let go of my agenda and align with God’s plan that I feel most alive and content.
I’ve also found that every path I’ve taken in God’s will has not only brought me fulfilment but has also connected me to people who inspire and challenge me.
On this note, I can confidently say that when you live purposefully, you’re not just ticking boxes or chasing achievements. You’re walking a path that brings fulfilment, clarity, and peace, not just for yourself, but for everyone your life touches.
So, here’s my challenge to you: take a moment today to ask, Am I aligned? And if the answer isn’t clear, don’t worry. Start small. Seek God’s guidance, reflect on what makes you feel most alive, and trust the process. Alignment is a journey, not a destination.
When you’re happily aligned, life will feel less like a struggle and more like a story where every chapter serves a purpose.
