Inspiring Change Every Day with Grace
Walking in Purpose
Mindset is everything. It shapes how you see the world, how you respond to challenges, and ultimately, how you approach your purpose.
Carol Dweck’s groundbreaking book, ‘Mindset: The New Psychology of Success’, introduces the concept of a growth mindset, the belief that abilities, intelligence, and even purpose can be developed with effort and persistence.
Unfortunately, as John C. Maxwell, notes: “Most people don’t lead their life, they accept their life.” To lead your life means to intentionally align your actions with the outcomes you desire, rather than passively drifting through the days.
Yet, this mindset doesn’t come naturally, it’s cultivated. It’s built on the foundation of intentionality, reinforced by consistent practices, and sustained by a clear vision of what truly matters.
Thus, when you adopt a growth mindset, purpose stops feeling like a static destination and starts becoming a dynamic journey, and this shift is critical to the fulfilment of purpose.
To cultivate a mindset of purpose is to move from passive acceptance of life to actively shaping it. This doesn’t mean you need all the answers upfront, but it does mean committing to live with intention.
Like setting intentional goals of daily actionable steps, learning and improving yourself continuously, practising the art of gratitude and associating with the right connections who encourage you closer to the realization of your purpose.
By doing this, you tend to live with a sense of aliveness and you thrive at your goals. Your choices become deliberate, your actions meaningful, and your life impactful.
A purposeful life thus, is cultivated through a mindset of intention, resilience, and daily commitment. And here’s the paradox, while you may feel lost at times, the very act of searching, reflecting, and growing will shape your purpose.
So, start where you are. Build the mindset. Trust the God of the journey. And remember your purpose doesn’t have to be extraordinary in the eyes of the world to be extraordinary in its impact.
Let’s commit together to cultivating this mindset, one choice at a time. Because when you do, you’ll find that purpose was never lost it was simply waiting to be discovered.
